- Bi-weekly Payments
You can opt to make your payment every two weeks instead of once per month. Your bi-weekly payment would be half of what your monthly payment would be. While this seems like it would be the same amount, bi-weekly payments actually save you a substantial amount of money in interest AND reduce the term of your mortgage by 10-20%.
If you did not set up bi-weekly payments when you originated your mortgage, converting to bi-weekly payments is easy. Contact your Bank of Holland mortgage lender to get started down the road to big savings.
You may also choose to have payments made by direct debit from your account. Additional direct deposit accounts can be set up at no additional cost to save for taxes and insurance.
